Constitution Day 2006

Young Elected Officials in Washington, D.C. for the Host Committee planning meeting participated in People For the American Way Foundation’s Constitution Day event at Georgetown University on September 18th. YEOs Andrew Gillum and Alisha Morgan joined in the reading which was broadcast on C-SPAN. All the YEOs in attendance met notable political figures backstage, including Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Senator Robert Byrd.

Barbara Jordan Leadership Award

The Barbara Jordan Leadership Award is given yearly to a YEO who has shown dedication and support to the Network and has a distinguished record of public service to their community and the progressive movement at large.
