YEO Pushes to Make Californians Eligible to Vote at 17
March 16, 2017
Assemblymember Evan Low introduced a state constitutional amendment that would lower California’s voting age to 17. The amendment aims to encourage young voters to cast ballots and help them become more engaged in the democratic process. Low’s proposal would make California the first state in the nation to allow 17-year-old individuals to fully vote in elections.
